I think that I would disconnect your favorite idle button to avoid a repeat incident.

Curious about the light you were using to light up the engine compartment.

Wear out those tracks and then replace them with steel tracks. Food for thought. Hope to see a video asap.

Looks like you needed a stud extractor tool. I recently got one and it makes things a lot easier

Absolute pressure is pretty much the norm for electronic pressure sensors, pre or post turbocharger... Mechanical boost gauges show 'gauge pressure' (difference from ambient) so they don't have to do math, but digital boost gauges that aren't part of the datastream do the math and subtract the ambient. pressure.. But yeah, I can see why that would be confusing.

Also, try some Ko-ken nut grip sockets to help with all those dropsies!

Matt, before I retired Caterpillar came out with a complete line of manganese nuts for exhaust applications. They will NEVER seize on the stud. Any time we did manifold/ turbo work it went back with manganese nuts. Alas, one downfall. They are non magnetic, and a bit pricey. Worth the money.

You will never need a case laptop for anything other than for programming on these. You see just as much through the dash as you would a laptop so it is not necessary. If you called a dealer chances are they would not even get their laptop out. I actually am a case technician myself.

Great video with lesson learned. Always turn the rotary engine speed full left to idle before switching the key off. That way it is good to go next time by whoever is operating the unit.
