The Downfall of Southwest Airlines

When it’s cheaper and more convenient to fly AA or Delta. I fly often for work and for myself this has been the reality. But SWA really has been ridiculous with pricing on short flights. LAS to LAX or BUR shouldn’t cost 350 on Southwest

It's sad to see that Southwest decided to eliminate It's good service.

I regularly fly between ca and or I would always just default buy southwest. I like the free bag, seating, and ability to cancel flights for credit. That time is over, time to shop around.

It's a shame, the way it played out. I was a steady, 2 decade customer. They were great in every way.

On a Southwest Airlines flight, an obese woman fought with me over my refusal to lift my armrest; she won and her massive bulk pinned me against the bulkhead for 2 hours with my nose in her nasty armpit. Never flew Southwest again.

I already started using other airlines. Sw was cheap and convenient to Chicago. But i got cheaper flights hotel and rental car. For the same price as 2 tickets with sw. With one checked bag. I did have to drive 1 hr away. To ohare. But thats way better than paying all that money

Delta did not lay anyone off.

Southwest has always sucked.

Southwests biggest asset was always that people loved them. Private Equity killed that.

I flew 100&#39;s of thousands of miles for big tech firms. I hate flying. There were missed flights and delays all the time. <br>The entire air-flight industry sucks. Flying isn&#39;t fun. To me, it is no longer worth the hassle to fly anywhere, on any airline.<br>....and i didn&#39;t mention all the unruly customers....i have plenty of those stories.

Southwest had a loyal following, especially from myself. Other than flying international, I haven&#39;t flown anything other than Southwest in DECADES. Now I see little reason to choose them over other airlines.

Listen, Southwest Airlines was never “the stuff of legends”. Can we not be so damn hyperbolic all the time?

I flew Southwest a lot but then switched back to Delta because I got tired of not able to select a seat that I wanted, SW prices werent much cheaper, seats on SW are not as comfortable, snacks are OK, and SW flight attendants were never friendly with me. After years of flying SW, I stopped and switched to other airlines.
