Composite bats will also sound crazy when they’re simply cracked/broken. <br> <br>Keep in mind that this video covers shaving/rolling specifically when it comes to “BBCOR” bats (&#39;USA&#39; bats share this same tech as well). Considering how hot modern-day USSSA composite bats are, there is no point of shaving or rolling a USSSA bat. Doing so will simply make your bat break very quickly. Something like a new/legal Hype Fire drop 5 basically hits like a shaved/rolled bats as-is.

I don’t see how rolling with nylon wheels would do much. The friction temperature wouldn’t even get hot enough to do much. And the pressure wouldn’t do much to the metal.<br><br>If I’m wrong and it does help. I would equal it to breaking in a ball glove with equipment and tools rather than playing catch. <br><br>I think it’s just a scam someone came up with to sell another product.

Why handicap the players on both teams with bad equipment on purpose when regulation bats are notably worse? If anything, make better equipment the standard, regularly updated as methods evolve.

Reminds me of my old cheap Easton that was so thin it sounded like a 22 hitting steel plates, I can&#39;t for the life of me remember what it was called. You would definitely get accused of shaving if you used that today lol.
