I’m so sorry Dylan but having read the book, listening to this commentary pisses me off

i’m so ded dylan legit right he is crazy the whole book he’s like “ehh i kinda like her she’s fun and less animal then the other loser mutts in the district” then he hates her cause he can’t tell if she likes him enough so he says screw this don’t even get us started on his “friend” who he hates and is using cause the fam has money

The movie was just fine. I think it should have been 2 parts at least. Every question you have while watching is obviously answered more in depth in the book and i can see how it would have been super hard to properly translate into a movie without being messy or confusing. Snow tries to convince himself he’s a good person for a huge majority of the book while being unaware of his obvious empathy and social differences. He’s deeply insecure, far more calculated and more obviously using/ jealous of Lucy Grey. The movie leaves a lot of his small decisions which accumulate to show us what type of person he truly is- like how he constantly refers to Lucy Grey as “my girl” or “mine” “she was his girl” which shows how he feels ownership as if she is an object instead of a person. Hard to show inner monologue with how he really feels ab Sejanus or Tigris.<br><br>But other than the book not being translated well, ur totally right that the script is lazy as fuck lmao. The book is just so slow and long that i guess it was hard to show instead of tell idk.

Say what you want about Dylan but at least he&#39;s always consistent with dropping on Mondays

Funnily enough both storylines happened. The movie focuses on their romance but the book has inner monologue of how crazy he is. It’s subtle in the movie if you look for it

I&#39;ve read the book and to be honest, i didn&#39;t really like the film, in comparison to the original thrilogy, it&#39;s the worst. But i love how they made the songs. You could really feel the emotions of Lucy Gray.

The book shows a lot more of how Snow is thinking and why he is making some of the choices he did which don&#39;t get explained in the movie.

You would love the MC in the book lol. He is much more interesting. His internal monologue is insane.
