The Last of Us Season 2 is Not Good

I enjoyed season 2. It had elements i didnt like too much but overall felt it wasnt bad. I thought it was good.<br><br>I feel season 3 will be great, though. Kaitlyn Dever is a powerhouse

It sucks that actual criticism gets buried with the anti-woke diarrhea from people who either didn&#39;t play the game or your average bigot. Killing off Joel so early is just a bad decision no matter the adaptation. I think it makes sense to have Ellie become the solo protagonist since it&#39;s her journey, but people really liked the dynamic of Joel and Ellie as a duo and not even giving them any closure before he dies is going to hurt the viewer&#39;s investment.

I was honestly baffled that they didn&#39;t rework all of Abby&#39;s scenes to coincide with Ellie&#39;s side of the story; I thought that was one of the easiest fixes for the story.

One of the worst seasons of a major TV show ever (I say major, cause there’s lots of shit TV out there lol).

As someone who is a huge fan of the games, I never wanted them to make it into a show in the first place, and this is why. I knew that the structure of part 2 wasn&#39;t going to translate well to the screen. STOP ADAPTING VIDEO GAMES!

The biggest mistake was Bella Ramsay, she is not fit to lead such a big tv show with a character that demands so much emotion. She is out-acted by every costar she shares a scene with.

Yeah, I started watching s2 and just.. sort of forgot about it. There’s nothing pulling me in this season, and I suppose it’s due to the things you mentions: there’s no fun in being treated like an idiot 😅 also, I think they’re very scared of people actually beginning to dislike Ellie. In my experience, some of the best characters are the ones that you dislike. <br>I’m not so sure I’m gonna even finish it honestly

Honestly i feel crazy because no one else appears to see this but something about the cinematography feels off for me. The lighting, the colors, the framing. Idk why but it feels cheap.

I stopped watching it at the point ellie and Nora had their sex scene because I thought it was super awkward of a moment. Like it really didnt make any sense for the character we were introduced to. I am waiting for my husband to offer it up as a possible watch to continue cuz I have no interest in pursuing this season as I too thought that Ellie was too innocent and that a lot of the good moments of the game were already shown. There was no reason for them to show these moments so soon. A re edit of all the clips once both sides of the full games story is out might be worth a watch. Especially if they just have Abby dropped in all of the sudden and Joel happens to swoop in and save her. Just edit out all the talking and cut in when Ellie walks in.<br><br>Last season was kinda frustrating to me too. But, I love the world they live in and the few moments they added were worth while. Just wish they would have taken more liberty and shown more stories that happened in the world like the frank episode rather than a retelling of a game.

I thin the writers were too scared after the amount of hate the second game received but that was the beauty of it. I have neever seena game result in soooo much discourse ever over its storyline. It was amazing, some people didnt like it, some people liked it. I was so excited for friends who didnt play the game to get to experience the story in season 2 and they completely fucked up every aspect of the story that made it worth watching
