I don&#39;t get the hate. Everything the devs have put out before was banger. If we&#39;re not going to judge by track record then were are doing it wrong. Im excited for it.<br><br>Titanfall felt fresh in a land full of shooters, and even jetpack shooters. Apex felt new in a land of BR. It looks good graphically, im sure it will play well because the devs have a great track record.

Hard disagree with him on the indie category discourse. The point of the category is to show off the passion and inspiration of a group of devs who didn&#39;t have some corporate overhead determining the direction. E33 winning is the shining light that shows it is possible to have larger aspirations and partner with others likeminded people around the community even if you lack the background or money. I would hate if the indie award was forced to cater to a team size who you can count on your hands as if that is the only metric to define the independent studio journey to success. A breakout success should be celebrated. The RPG category is 100% valid though, E33 did not contribute to that genre very significantly and KCD2 was the obvious choice.

alanah pearce who played malevola explained the comittee, they dont talk to each other, they get a form via email, they fill that out, what they liked most and sent it back to the game awards and they pick the most picked ones. there is no thought behind the awards. they are just filler for the money maker of that show, the trailers. this is not an award show, it is a trailer show. <br><br>that is also why some categories are just read out, without anyone of the dev team getting the award. he just says, winner of that is this and next one and next one. like best indie game, no speech, no celeb having a envolpe and and no video presenting. just a read out. because they do not matter. <br>what bothers me more is the most anticipated game, where gta6 wins every year until it comes out. that is ridicolous and should be changed, a game can only be in that once at least win only once.<br>so the issue is soley on the comittee and how it works.

Saying that highguard is bad or generic is pretty bad faith since we have little to no information about it except that it was made by developers that make amazing movement shooters and were screwed over by their last producers.<br><br>Saying that it was a terrible closer is completely fair though.

Highly disagree with limiting nomination categories for games like E33. While the point is valid it&#39;s important that when another game as good or better than E33 gets eventually made we need to make sure it shines as brightly as possible. Why? Because games like E33 highlight what the gaming industry needs right now, actual videogames made with love and care. It shows that this is what gamers want, not the insane amounts of trash that the biggest IP holders have been spewing out now for far too long. E33 and BG3 are some of the biggest antibiotic pills to ever be dropped down the gaming industries throats and I don&#39;t want ANY form of restrictions on that type of medicine. So while I fully understand your concern and again the point does hold merit we can&#39;t let it happen.
