6/7/2025They have become the bad guys on the console market. No actual physical media, they can brick the console if they think you did something to the console and everything that free on other platforms in theirs you have to have Nintendo online crap.

6/7/2025Dude just get Nintendo Switch Online. It doesn't even cost much as a family subscription and on top of online gaming and savegame backups you get lots of free stuff like the Breath of the Wild upgrades, Gamecube, N64, SNES etc. It's totally worth it.

6/7/2025If they block your account or ban you from your account you lose all your games if they are digital. It happened to me. This wouldn't happen if you buy the physical copy of the games. They can dictate what they want to do with blocking the service to you and you can't connect to nintendo network on your devices at all.
